• Shantipur Cluster office applied for three international expert for technical support in the area of Fashion Designing, Printing design & Chemical processing from PUM Holland. An awarness programme was organized on "Establishment of Market Linkages with Europe" with support from Mr.Tonny Neijmeier of PUM, Holland on 17.04.10 in Shantipur Cluster office. The expert explained how to deal with European byuers, requirement of quality, prices of the products & different types of support provided by Business Support Organization. Total 22 weavers of different consortium attened programme. |

Work order ot M/s Fulia Tangail Tantujibi Unnayan Samiti Ltd. placed by CSB as a convergence of scheme. Shantipur Handloom Cluster facilitated the exposure visit of two members of tangail Tantujibi Samobay Samiti of Belgoria Gram Panchayat, visited Malda for understanding the techo-economic viability of Twisting Machines first time in Shantipur cluster. |

An interactive meeting for Credit linkages was organized by Shantipur Cluster Office on 04-09-09 between United Bank of India (UBI) Shantipur Branch Manager and Weavers of Seven Self Help Groups located in Shantipur Municipality Area. The Bank Manager Mr. B. Gupta reviewed the progress of each individual groups & approved the loan of Rs 2.16 Lakhs on spot for the weavers for technology up gradation, raw materials etc. Manager of The bank & CDE of Shantipur Cluster jointly agreed for development of progressive business plan for each individual group.
CDE had a interactive meeting with Bank Manager of Allahabad Bank & State Bank of India Shantipur Branch for necessary credit support to SHG Weavers groups attached to IHCDP Project. The managers agreed to focus on the matter after festival season on 08-09-09. CDE had a meeting with Bank Manager of Allahabad Bank & State Bank of India for Credit linkage to SHGs. They have been agreed and will extend the support after the festive season.
2 SHG groups ( Netaji SHG & Adivasi Manasa Mangal SHG) of M/s Goberchar golden HL weavers Sangho got the credit of Rs 1.90 lakhs in Feb
Shantipur Handloom cluster office facilitated the Credit Faciltiy of 1.17 lakhs
to three SHG groups; SHG's from United Bank of India - Shantipur Branch.
The credit would be used for purchasing of raw materials, purchase of new looms,
etc. which would increase the income level of Weavers. An interactive meeting with cluster stakeholders was organized under resource support of Prof. V. Padmanad on 08/09.05.10 for Up-scaling & sustainability of interventions supported by the DC-HL at Shantipur HL Cluster. Some such facilities required comprise equipment in terms of computerized embroidery machines, priniting equipment, hank yarn dyeing equipment and even upgraded looms with pneumatic jacquard. The cluster association will take the lead in evolving necessary SPV for concepualizaing and implementing such projects. Assistance and guidance from the Govt. of WB as well as DC-MSME for necessary schematic twinning & up-scaling was formulated. |
