One association formed among the 66 National Awardees / Master Weavers namely, Sambalpuri Ikat Handloom Park, Bargarh. The objective of the group is to set up one Handloom Park at Bargarh. Linked with SBI, Bargarh. Total savings till date is Rs.6.94 lakhs. The association is likely to purchase a land of about 25.00 Acre out of their own fund by end of January, 2010. Recently 23 members of the association had been taken for exposure visit to Pochampally Handloom Park out of the State Govt. fund. |

6550 weaver's family enrolled under HIS through ICICI, Lombard. Weavers are getting free medical treatment facility through 10 free OPD and 5 free IPD in the area. 4300 weavers enrolled under MGBBY Life Insurance. 45 death claim settled amounting to Rs.27.00 lakhs. 650 school children received monthly stipend @Rs.100/- per month as additional benefit under MGBBY. Besides, 14500 adult weavers have been issued Weaver's Photo Id Card under State Plan Scheme. |

NHDC has organised one training programme at Bargarh. About 75 beneficiaries attended the programme. The programme was inaugurated by the Joint Director of Textiles, Bargarh. Deputy General Manager, NHDC, Kolkata, Technical Expert from WSC, BBSR, M.D., Sambalpuri Bastralay, District Co-ordinator, ICICI, Lombard, Asst. Manager, Commercial, NHDC, BBSR and Asst. Director, Textiles, Bargarh attended the programme as guest. Power Point Presentation was delivered by the DGM, NHDC, Kolkata.
First training will be organised on 19-20 February, 2010 and 2nd will be during March, 2010.However 3 nos of dyeing demonstration programme were conducted in the cluster area by W.S.C., BBSR in the month of Jan/10. 175 weavers benefited. |
