6 Engagement of designer

D Training - Group Wise                     
10 (a)    Dyers & Designers & Orientation workshop on Veg. Colour
3 4 2.00 2.28 WSC Chennai trained the 46 local dyer to adopt Veg. Colour for exportable item.  3 2 2.00 0.45  08 Nos. of weavers under PWCS were trained through State Handloom Exporter Promotion Society, Kolkata on 8th to 16th Dec. 08, to get primary knowledge on export documentation process.  2 days group wise dyers training also was organized at Hatsimla on 18th & 19th Feb. 09 with the assistance of Govt. College of Engg & Textile Technology, Serampore throgh which 30 nos. of local dyers were trained on application of Vat dyes for domestic  products as well as Veg. colours for exportable products.

18 Exposure visit  2 2 4.00 1.56 Kanchipuram, Arani - 16 master weavers learnt the use of upgraded pneumatic Jacquard system. This system being introduced in the cluster. 08 local designer visited NID, Calico Museum, Ahmedabad for better exposure of latest design development.  1 1 1.50 0.6 12 membered team with designers/dyers/master weavers visited Pochampally & Koyalguddam from 1st to 7th Dec. 08. Through Handloom Park at Pochampally, they learnt the proper functioning of consortium. 
H Dye House                     
19 Establishing of Dyeing unit under PPP mode & CFC for other component 1  -- 23.40 0.04 Land purchased by consortium. Civil work yet to start.  1  -- 17.34 6.23 Tie Beam work  completed for Dye house upto Linton work for CFC has been completed upto 31.5.2009

Yarn in dyed form catered to individual weavers under Mill Gate Price Scheme.          Yarn worth Rs. 29.07 Lacs received from NHDC Ltd. Small quantity of yarn to individual weavers under MGPS were catered through cluster depot.

22           Participation in International Exhibition with exportable products  2 0 2.50 0.68 Participated Texstyles 2009 at Pragati Maidan from 1st to 3rd March 09. 03 agencies enquired about newly developed silk scarves and sample collected. Due to recent economic turmoil, presence of buyers were very poor.  
23   Documentary film on Tangil Sarees  1 1 2.50 0.24 Highlight of completed activities upto March 09 are being compiled in one disc. 
24   Skill orientation training for embroidery and Kantha stitch for value addition  2 2 1.50 0.66 Embroidery  & Kantha stitch programme have been completed. Total  40 women weavers were trained for value addition through these training.  Trained women formed consortium to get the bulk job from different agencies .
25   Training under SSI for managerial skill development for running the CFC dye house  1 0 1.00 0.63 20 nos of official of SHGs/NGO/PWCS were trained in five days prog. Organized by Enterprise Dev. Institute at  Kolkata from 19th Jan 09. which have enriched managerial knowledge on marketing & admn. & finance.
